TJ Class of 2012 Freshman Orientation!

oh my gosh. such a throwback. I even see myself in this. LOLOLOL. AND LOOK, CIRPSICSR. it stood for Critical Inquiry and Research, Problem Solving, Intellectual Curiosity, and Social Responsibility. I’m glad I got that settled, because it’s been bothering me since I last posted about it …. LOL

day nine.

okay, in order for me to finish this on the day before graduation, I have to start doing two a day, starting … now!

9. Most fun class

wow, super easy question. AP Japanese this year ( which is actually Japanese 4H/AP ) was the bomb. hands down my favorite class of the year. honestly, I don’t think we did much half the time we were in class. with a class of ten really close friends and a sensei who pretty much digs us, it was way too easy to get distracted with side-conversations. we’re going out to lunch next Monday even though we don’t have class anymore! LOL

10. Something you never expected you’d do and ended up loving

well, the first thing that comes to mind is my move to MA, seeing as I never expected to move during high school. in fact, I thought I’d be staying in VA until after I graduated from TJ and went to college. but I loved ( and still love! )  the time I had at BHS — I can’t believe we only have two more days of class left!

day eight.

Favorite book you actually read for English class

whoops. fell asleep last night after coming home from a meeting. so i’ll do it super early in the morning to make up for it and try to stay on schedule … LOL. ANYWHO ~* a favorite book ! hmmmm. I guess … of the required books we read, I think I enjoyed “The Things They Carried” … ? it was pretty cool, what with all the post-modern-style text and whatnot. or that could just be how I remember it with fondness. LOL

the book (or books) I read for my senior paper, however, was ~*DETECTIVE CONAN*~ !!! that’s right. I read all 800 chapters (that were out at the time) in two weeks to write my senior paper — a graduation requirement. a whole academic paper on Gosho Aoyama’s use of formula and his deviations from it in order to create suspense in the 70-something long series, started in 1994, which still runs today. WHOO.
